
3rd International Conference on Global Plant Humanities (GPH26)
The 3rd International Conference on Global Plant Humanities, hosted by Department of English, North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong, Meghalaya, India, 8–10 May 2026, will further the dialogue between the arts, humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences towards novel perspectives on the botanical world and human-flora relations.
2026 CONFERENCE FEES
Indian Participants: 2,500 INR
SAARC Participants Outside India (Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka): 25 USD
All Other International Participants: 80 USD (plus a $4.19 nonrefundable payment fee). Please pay with Eventbrite using the 'International Payments' link below.
Attendees Not Presenting Papers or Posters: same fees as above

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION PROCESS
Deadline for Abstract Submission: Proposals for 20-minute papers and 1.5 hour panels (with 3–4 presenters) will be assessed on a rolling basis. No proposals will be considered after 15 March 2026.
Abstract Submissions: Email your abstract (max. 200 words) with five relevant keywords along with your short biographical note (max. 50 words).
Panel Proposals: Email your panel theme (max. 200 words) and 3–4 abstracts (max. 200 words each) along with bio-notes for each presenter including the chair. The chair can also be one of the presenters. For panels with 3 speakers, each presenter will have about 20 minutes. For panels with 4 speakers, each presenter will have about 15 minutes.
Poster Proposals: Email your poster proposal including (a) poster title; (b) the name/s and email address/es of the author/s; (c) an abstract of max. 200 words; and (d) a bio-note for each author (max. 50 words per bio-note). Please refer to the attached Guidelines for Preparing Your Poster Presentation.
Note: GPH26 will primarily take place in-person (Online participation is only available by request to international delegates outside India)
